Remote Hub Lab

The Remote Hub Lab

We develop remote engineering solutions that make hands-on education accessible to every student — regardless of location, institution, or resources. Based at the University of Washington’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, our work spans remote laboratory infrastructure, IoT-enabled telehealth tools, and a growing network of collaborating educators worldwide.

Our Projects

Redtail

An NSF-funded repository of remote lab simulations for embedded systems and digital design. Instructors at any institution can deploy Redtail’s scenarios — parking lot, LED matrix, keypad — without physical hardware.

Woundcare

An IoT and image processing solution for remote stoma care management, funded by UW Research Royalty Funds and NSF I-Corps to improve the quality of life for patients with stomas through telehealth practices.
